 One factor that remains constant is the trust you and your fellow listeners place in Boise State Radio. You rely on us to maintain a high standard of journalism; you count on us to be a place where you can listen to in-depth news analysis and a wealth of ideas and opinions and you trust Boise State Radio to be your resource for unbiased news and information.
You hold our trusted public radio service in high regard. How do I know that? Because you not only listen to the station, but you also generously give us financial support.
Many of you were motivated to make a pledge because you use this service a great deal . . . and you want to help us provide the best possible programming. Some of you may have also been inspired to give because you believe Boise State Radio benefits our whole community. Many of our listeners who hold those values have the financial ability to participate in Boise State Radio’s Broadcast Society by giving $1,000 or more on an annual basis.
Broadcast Society members are inspired by public life and culture. They make their contribution as fair and voluntary payment for a service they use, but they also give for the philanthropic reason that they want to help provide public radio to everyone who benefits from it but are not in a position to help financially.
If you are in a position to join the Broadcast Society or to increase your financial support, let your pledge of $1,000 or more become an act of ‘enlightened self-interest.” So far, a solid core of your fellow Boise State Radio supporters have already decided to step up to the Broadcast Society this year. I hope you will be inclined to do so as well.
