Attention Salmon / Challis listeners... Our transmitting equipment sustained serious damage during a recent electrical storm and we are now off the air. We are currently working to restore service to your area.

Program Changes on KBSX 91.5 starting July 1, 2009

This is the time each year where we look at our programming and see how we are doing and what changes we need to make. This year has found us with several things to consider on our news service, KBSX 91.5. We have made changes based on audience numbers, year round feedback from listeners, program votes during the fund drives, advice from our Community Advisory Board and of course, the budget. We also used a survey that many of you took online last month.

Starting July 1, we will be moving our late evening program "As it Happens" to 8pm weeknights, and the "BBC World Service" to 9 pm weeknights. We are also pleased to announce a new time for Diane Josephy Peavy's essays, which will now air at 1:00 pm on Tuesdays. These essays will also play on KBSW at 8:00 am.

We've made several changes on KBSX 91.5 on Saturdays. Here is the new line-up:

   6-10am - Weekend Edition w/Scott Simon
      10am - Car Talk
      11am - Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me!
      12pm - This American Life w/Ira Glass
       1pm - Splendid Table
       2pm - Marketplace Money
       3pm - Fresh Air Weekend
       4pm - Bob Edwards Weekend
5pm - Weekend All Things Considered

As always, please send your programming questions to me or call me at 208-426-5333.  I'd love to talk with you about these changes or any programming issue you'd like to discuss.

Sincerely,

Ele Ellis
Associate General Manager/ Director of Programming
